Urban Haiku iPhone Photos (2015-Now)

Poetic, spontaneous iPhone photos of my urban environment.

These works are unplanned and function as a visual sketchbook for the things that inspire and capture my attention in my environment. It’s often a fleeting moment where I notice the quality of light, a distinctly urban vignette, or a phenomenon that stuns me, such as the wreckage of a car just after the event or an extraordinarily full moon visible as the sun sets. I typically find these moments while walking my dog or driving. I love city living, but also find it challenging and, at times, traumatic. Documenting fragments of these moments has been an ongoing practice.
